3.5.2.5 Environmental temperature. The assembly shall not be damaged (see
3.5.3.1) by the storage, operation, or thermal shock temperature profile
specified and shall meet the requirements at the temperature specified. Test
profile shall be as follows:
+68oC for 1 hour
a. High temperature storage:
+52°C, 95% relative humidity, 4 hours
b. Temperature/Humidity:
(This portion of the test may be run separately.)
c. High Operating temperature: +52oC, <25% relative humidity, 1 hour
(1)Input current - Shall not exceed 35 milliamperes.
(2) Equivalent background input (EBI) - Not greater than 6 x 10-10
lumens/cm2.
(3) Gain @ 1 to 5 x l0-6 foot-candle (fc) - Not less than 20
thousand and not greater than 80 thousand.
(4) Screen brightness @ 5 x 10-4 to 1 to 10-3 fc - Not less than 2
footlamberts and not greater than 10 footlamberts.
(5) Screen brightness @ .01 to .03 fc - Not less than 2
footlamberts and not greater than 10 footlamberts.
(6) Operational fluctuation @ .05 to .1 fc shall be not greater
than plus or minus 10 percent of steady state value for not
less than 30 seconds.
(7) Rise time - Not greater than 5 seconds, overshoot less than 40
percent of steady state output brightness.
Temperature shock: Shock from +52oC to +25oC in less than 5 minutes.
