(NOTE: Frequency response shall be measured when a frequency modulated signal of
constant deviation (100 kHz peak) is applied to the receiver antenna terminal as indicated at the
video output terminal.
3.5.2.2 Noise figure. The noise figure of the receiver, including the losses due to the
receiver protection circuit and the duplexer, shall not exceed 10 dB between 695 and 1000 MHz.
3.5.2.3 Demodulation. For received signals deviated ± 300 kHz, ± 75 kHz and ± 45 kHz,
the video outputs shall be 0.265 V ± 0.03 V RMS at the VIDEO connector, 0.189 ± 0.02 V RMS
at the FDM connector and -10 dBm ± 2 dB (600 ohms) at the OW Connector, respectively.
3.5.2.4 Received signal monitoring. A panel meter deflection of 60% or more shall be
obtained at a received signal level of -50 dBm and 10% or more at a level of -95 dBm.
3.5.2.5 IF bandwidth. The IF selectivity shall have a nominal 3 dB bandwidth of 750 kHz
with the response down at least 60 dB at ± 2.1 MHz or more than resonance.
3.5.2.6 Receiver protection. The receiver shall be protected from damage which could
result from its own transmitter throughout all receiver/transmitter frequency ranges. The radio
set circuitry shall thus provide protection against external signals at any frequency having power
levels to +47 dBm under all conditions of receiver tuning. Protection shall be provided against
