3.5.15 Weight. The Test Set shall weigh no more than 7.257 pounds (16 kilograms)
including attachments and instrument case using a scale with an accuracy of 1% or better.
3.5.16 Size. The Test Set shall measure 50x40x35cm (l x w x h) to within ± 0.1 cm.
3.5.17 Controls. The Test Set shall include four controls: a Power Switch, a Function
Selector Switch, GO/NO-GO indicators and a NVG/ANVIS selector knob.
3.5.17.1 Power switch. The Power Switch shall be a three position switch of ON-OFF-
POWER CHECK. The power check position shall be a push-to-hold position that checks power
to the system from any power source used and checks operation of the visual GO/NO-GO
indicators.
3.5.17.2 Function Selector Switch. The Function Selector Switch shall set all the
electronics and activate the GO/NO-GO indicators for the following tests:

NOTE: Positions of the function selector switch shall be marked with color coding as well
as with words. Each position shall have a positive detent. The GO/NO-GO indicators shall be
off in the High Light Level and low Light Level function positions.
3.5.17.3 GO/NO-GO indicators. The GO indicator shall be a green light and NO-GO
indicator shall be a red light.
3.5.17.4 NVG/ANVIS selector knob. The function of the NVG/ANVIS selector knob
shall be to change the radiometric output of the Test Set as specified in 3.5.12.
3.5.18 Electrical interface.
3.5.18.1 Power sources. The Test Set shall be capable of operating at 110 VAC, ± 10V
(50-70 Hz), 220 VAC, ± 10V
(40-60 Hz), and 28 VDC, ± 6 VDC.
3.5.18.2 Power fuses. Each power source shall have its own line fuse. The AC line will
use a 1/4 slo-blo fuse and the DC line will use a 1 AMP slo-blo fuse.
